National Federation Party President Pio Tikoduadua is sticking to his guns.

He has refused to apologise over a disputed incident outside Parliament on August 9, which means he has been suspended for six months from Parliament.

The apology was a recommendation of the Privileges Committee’s report after deliberations this week.

After the recommendations were debated last night, Mr Tikoduadua said he would not apologise for something he never intended to do.

He said he would stand by his virtues and it was against his principles and his honour to do so.

“I know what I said, it was on record, I know exactly what I meant, I can’t apologise for something that someone else thinks about on what is said.”

Mr Tikoduadua, while mentioning their names, said he never offended any member of the Prime Minister’s family.

He said he did his best not to attack Mr Bainimarama that day.

“If I had done a different thing, it would have been a different situation now. I trained those boys (PM’s bodyguards) I know what they would do.”

He added that his mind and his conscience were clear.
