It was an overwhelming and proud moment for the Nakaikogo Primary School students after winning the overall title in the Rewa Inter-district Primary Schools football and netball competitions.

The Koronivia school hosted a party for the teams with Assistant Minister of Education Joseph Nitya Nand the chief guest.

Head teacher Muniapa Goundar said they won the event for the past four years.

“This is my fourth year as I started teaching at the school in 2016 and ever since we have been winning consistently,”Goundar said

“The Under-14 boys football and netball teams have been unbeaten for the past four years while the U12 netball side won the title for the first time in 2019.

“We are also proud that six players from the U14 football team have been selected to represent Rewa for the upcoming Fiji Primary Schools IDC.

“So, in total we have 46 students receiving medals for their effort.

“We are also grateful to the Fiji Football Association for conducting clinics in the school uplifting the skills of the students.”
