Two Republic of Fiji Military Forces personnel were commissioned as officers from the Officers Training Academy Chennai, India.

They are Second-Lieutenant Sosi Senibulu and Second-Lieutenant Alipate Matadigo.

The two were among 183 students who graduated last Saturday.

The parade was reviewed by Lieutenant General Satinder Kumar Saini.

He complimented the cadets for their parade.

“I’m happy for the 12 gentleman cadets and nine lady cadets from Bhutan, Seychelles, Maldives, Fiji and Uganda who have successfully complemented their training.

“My congratulations to the governments and countrymen in allowing these young men and women into their defence forces.”

Two other officer cadets, OCDT Waqea and OCDT Curuqara are expected to graduate next February.

Officers Training Academy or OTA Chennai is a premier institute of the Indian Army for training men and women into officers for the Short Service Commission into the Indian Army.
