Police Classify Sigatoka Case As Murder

Police have classified the death of a 19-year-old woman whose body was found near the Sigatoka River last Friday as murder.

This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.

She earlier said the victim was last seen and heard arguing with her partner at their home at Nabitu Settlement last Friday morning before she ran away.

Nearby residents conducted a search where she was later found lying motionless near the river bank. She had injuries.

Police are requesting for information on the whereabouts of 24-year-old Joji Turukoya Katzuky who is wanted for questioning.

Mr Katzuky was last seen with the victim and investigators are looking to question him.
