Kiuva Widower Is $30,000 Richer After Lucky Scratch

A man who buried his wife three months ago has won $30,000.

This happened just days before marking the 100-night observance for his spouse.

Fiji Tattslotto Senior Administration Manager Sereana Brown said the 48-year-old single father of two won the money by playing a scratchy ticket at the MaxVal-U Supermarket in Nausori.

Atunaisa Tikoinakeba said this was good news as he was finishing his home in his village in Kiuva.

“I have a daughter in Year Three and a son in Year One. Their mother passed away in May this year,” he said.

“This will help me build a better future for my children.”

He said he had been struggling for the past year and believes his prayers have been answered.

Mr Tikoinakeba was in Nausori Town shopping to mark the 100 nights when he decided to play a scratchy.
