Ba Provincial Celebrate Deans Win

The Ba Provincial Freebird Institute celebrated the school’s Under-19 rugby team’s success in winning the Vodafone Deans Trophy competition, last month.
Captain Radike Buresova thanked parents, old scholars, stakeholders and staff for their support.
“Your understanding and your patience contributed to our victory,” he said.
“We seek your forgiveness if we have done anything that might have hurt you.
“The teachings you have taught us that we will never forget and we pray that God will bless you like you have blessed us.”
Buresova said the team were grateful to former students for their endless support.
“We also thank the Western Secondary Schools Rugby Union for their support when we needed it and not forgetting Mosese Naivalu and the Yasawa Rugby Union,” he said.
He added that there were many challenges faced by the team before the final.
“As captain it was not easy leading the boys who came with different stories but these stories boosted their game and the love between us.
“Our win was not by accident because we had the love and support but most importantly our faith which was as small as a mustard seed but was able to move mountains,” he said.
School principal Waliki Nasau said the win was a memorable one as it was the first time for them to win a Deans title.
