A total of $23,676.81 was raised to help children suffering from cancer.

WOWS Kids Fiji’s Shave or Save (SOS) campaign ended at Albert Park yesterday and saw three participants have their heads shaved.

The participants were Dr Ada Modsiri, Ana Suliano and Josefa Maiava, 15, who was the youngest.

Opposition MP Lenora Qereqeretabua’s iconic iTaukei hairstyle (buiniga) did not have to shave off her hair after more people donated to save it.

Of the total funds raised, she collected $11,476.66.

She said: “It is important for us to keep supporting WOWS Kids as the funds go back to children suffering from cancer.”

Vinaina Tudalala a mother to a cancer patient said: “I am really grateful for the support WOWS Kids has provided for my son.”
