PM Bainimarama Surprises Australian Family At Baptism

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his delegation walked into a baptism service for a toddler, Cooper Brenton, onboard the HMAS Adelaide in Sydney yesterday.
It was a pleasant surprise for the parents and family of Brenton, said Mr Bainimarama.
He carried the child, hugged and kissed him.
In a tweet later he wrote: “Vinaka Cooper Brenton for letting me crash your baptism onboard the HMAS Adelaide.
“Only together can Fiji and Australia work to secure a future for young Fijians and Aussies, like Cooper, where our planet’s health and our nation’s wealth aren’t mutually exclusive.”
Mr Bainimarama, Minister for Defence, National Security and Foreign Affairs Inia Seruiratu, Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Local Government, Housing and Community Development Premila Kumar, Fiji’s High Commissioner to Australia Luke Daunivalu and the rest of the Fijian delegation toured the HMAS Adelaide. They met senior Australian Defence Force officials for a briefing where Black Rock Military Camp in Nadi was discussed.
Later in the afternoon, they watched the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua draw with NSW Country Eagles 24-24. Today they travel to Canberra where they will meet Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
