New Four Lane Section Of Kings Highway A Speeding Hotspot: LTA
The recently opened Kings Highway has become a speeding hotspot for drivers.

The new four lane section of Kings Highway opened less than a month ago has quickly become a speeding hotspot.
The Land Transport Authority noted that some drivers continue to be irresponsible and dangerous.

The speed limit along the Suva-Nausori section of the Kings Highway is 50 Kph.

The LTA applauds the Fiji Police Force who have been proactively monitoring driving behaviours along this section of new Highway.

Police have carried out the following bookings over the past week:
Speeding – 55
Careless Driving – 5
Using a Mobile Phone – 1
Miscellaneous Driving Offences – 14

“We fully support this Police initiative which will be on-going and will be working together with them to call drivers who have an adverse driving record to “show cause” meetings where a licence can be suspended, cancelled or revoked.

Remember Speeding Kills – It is socially unacceptable to speed.
