Rosy Hearts is expecting to achieve $4 million in sales by the end this year, says company director Mahendran Nair.

Mr Nair said they had their target and they always made sure to reach them.

“When we started, we were making $12,000 and $15,000 a month in the outlet that we had,” Mr Nair said.

“When I resigned to join the business; we grew. We started our first million in 2007 and now our turnover is approximately $3.5 million,” he said.

“We are expecting to achieve $4 million in sales by the end of December.”

He said they would venture into other businesses in the near future.

“The future operation that we want to open is in Labasa and that will be when Damodar is ready,” Mr Nair said.

“That will basically be the last outlet we will open. Meanwhile, our office will move from Centrepoint to Wainivula Road.

“We will have our office and storage there and we will be expanding the business to hospitality equipment and other stuff that we have in line.

“We will be going into it probably between December this year and January next year.

“This depends on how fast we move from here.”

Rosy Hearts management always ensure that their workers are well looked after.

“What we are trying to do is promote ladies in the workforce,” Mr Nair said.

“All our branch managers are ladies except our Nadi branch.

“95 per cent of our staff are ladies. We have about 60 staff and we also try to help out students coming out of technical institutions.

“Whenever we provide attachment, we give them the minimum pay and not the $50 they expect.

“That way we are assisting and in case of the labour law we always follow them and our staff gets all the benefits that is expected from us.”
