Khan Comforts Fallen Police Officers’ Families

The Fiji Airports Limited chief executive officer Faiz Khan gave a moving speech yesterday to the families, friends and guests during the 2019 Police Remembrance Day in Nadi.
Mr Khan said: “Death is inevitable for all of us. Today we commemorate those we have lost one year ago.
“Sometimes when we understand that the time that we have on this earth is limited, it makes us realise the importance of what we do on a day-to-day basis, in terms of how we want to position ourselves and how we want to live our lives.
“It is important that we understand that we are all going to die one day and how does that influence how we live.
“We live a life of integrity, we live a life of goodness, we live a life of sharing and a great team work. We respect each other and learn from each other.”
He encouraged them to embrace good values because those attributes conceived positive outcome.
He told the families that through their support they were able to serve in their line of duty and performed to their very best.
Ten Police officers based in the West died since September 30, 2018 to date.
The Remembrance Day in the West was held at the Namaka Police Station ground.
