Visitors frequenting My Suva Park should expect some inconvenience because road works will start shortly along the Queen Elizabeth Drive.

This is part of Fiji Road Authority’s commitment towards developing Suva City Council’s infrastructure.

China Railways Fifth Group is carrying out the works and they have already established a base at Corpus Christi Teachers College.

The hedges of My Suva Park have been graded as well.

In consultations held with residents and stakeholders at Veiuto Primary School in Suva, FRA chief executive Jonathan Moore had said every four years $3 million was used to maintain utilities in the Suva area.

Taxi driver Ahmed Shah said the roads were due for repairs.

“It is good news for vehicle owners. This road is quite frequented and the current state is not good. Vehicles can get damaged,” he said.

Sekonaia Masi said it would be an inconvenience for him as he parked his vehicle along where the work was due to take place.
