Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) customers can now use their data whenever they wish to as they want at different times.

This is a historic break from the the accustomed off-peak and peak data deals that are provided by the local internet service providers.

TFL’s decision is the beginning of a new initiative to empower its customers and take into consideration the central role the internet plays in households today.

“We arrived at this decision for a simple reason – complete data freedom for Fijians,” said Telecom CEO, Charles Goundar.

“Previously, internet data plans were distributed into two usage periods – peak, which is 6 AM to 6 PM and off-peak, which is 6 PM to 6 AM.”

“We believe customers should not have restrictions placed on the data that they have paid for. You paid for your data, you should be able to use it when you need.

Mr Goundar believes that they have one of the cheapest data plans in the market and now, they are building their focus on user freedom as well.

The new Anytime Data plan is not only flexible and convenient.

Users now will no longer have the problem of having used their peak data but still having a lot of data available on their off-peak allocation at the end of the month.

Telecom CEO assures its customers that this is just the tip of the iceberg, there will be other upcoming plans in store to surprise and delight in the future.

“We are getting ready to introduce a game-changer, something that we know Fijians will love. It is going to be exciting times ahead, not just for Telecom but for all our loyal customers so stay tuned.”
