Body Of 30 Year Old Man Found Floating Near Vunisei Village
The body of a 30-year-old man from Vusuya in Nausori has been recovered near Vunisei Village in Toga, Rewa this morning.
The victim left his home to dive for freshwater mussels near Manoca on Tuesday and when he failed to return home, a report was lodged with Police through Crime Stoppers yesterday afternoon.
A team of divers from the Police Special Response Unit were immediately deployed yesterday to conduct a search along the river which turned out negative.
This morning information was received of the discovery of a body found floating near Vunisei Village, and the identity of the victim has been confirmed to be that of the missing 30year old.
A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death as investigations continue.
