The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians produced a superb performance to beat Georgia 45-10 on Wednesday, but fans found an incident involving prop Manasa Saulo equally as entertaining.

Saulo was caught in no man’s land midway in the second-half as halfback Frank Lomani delivered a pass from the breakdown to first five-eight Ben Volavola.

The ball hit the unsuspecting prop on the side of the head, who appeared to be looking towards to touchline when Lomani threw the pass. The moment was the cause of much hilarity online as fans widely shared footage of the incident on Facebook and Twitter.

World Rugby’s official Twitter handle joined in on the fun, posting a series of humorous pictures and videos to make light of the incident. Some fans labelled it the ‘2019 Rugby World Cup’s funniest moment’.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Everyone going into work today with sore heads after celebrating last night’s win, just remember only Manasa Saulo is allowed to complain about having a sore head.”
