Rugby World Cup: Botia Hoping Uruguay Or Georgia Causes Major Upset Win Against Australia

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians second five-eight Levani Botia is hopeful of them making it to the Rugby World Cup quarterfinals. After the 45-10 win over Georgia, the strong running back revealed this after he was asked about the Flying Fijians’ World Cup dream.
“Still fingers crossed,” Botia said.
“Still have that hope that Uruguay or Georgia could cause that upset win and give us that chance.”
Uruguay takes on Australia at 5.15 pm today at Oita, Japan.
Uruguay coach Esteban Meneses has urged his players to put on a good show against Australia and Wales in their final World Cup matches and convince the game’s global powers they are worthy of more elite fixtures.
Botia said the bonus-point win over Georgia was something they had been waiting for the last two weeks.
“It was a tough game as I have a sore hip and jaw so I need to see a doctor before the Wales game. I saw the boys smiling (in the dressing room) and I was ready to jump onto the field,” he said.
Botia said he is honoured to don the white jersey and give his all for his country.
“I’m proud of that white jersey especially when there are thousands of players’ back home working so hard for it,” he added.
