A man died from injuries allegedly sustained during a motor vehicle accident this morning.
The victim from Savu Village in Tailevu was driving a vehicle with four others when it veered off the road near Drekeinakelo in Kasavu at around 4.30 am.
Two passengers have been transferred to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in serious condition while one is admitted under observation at the Nausori Hospital while the fourth passenger has been discharged.
Investigations continue.
The road death toll currently stands at 39 compared to 58 for the same period last year.
