A 12 year old student of Korobaba, Nabitu in Tailevu who allegedly jumped out of a moving vehicle last week passed away in the weekend.
The alleged incident occurred at Nabitu Road, Wainibokasi last Wednesday.
The victim was a passenger in a carrier driven by a 45-year-old man from Lomainasau Village when it is alleged she jumped out of the moving vehicle sustaining serious injuries.
She was admitted at the Colonial War Memorial (CWM) Hospital up until she passed away on Saturday.
The road death toll currently stands at 39 compared to 58 for the same period last year.
