Senirusi Seruvakula says the players will need to play their semifinals game this Sunday against the Canberra Vikings like it is the final.

The Fiji Airways Fijian Drua head coach said the boys were now focused on improving from their last game against Queensland Country at Lawaqa Park,  Sigatoka.

“We did our review on our mistakes on Saturday and we did our preview for the game against Vikings on Sunday,” he said.

“So this is a start for us and the concentration now is that we do well the process and work on improving from where we went wrong and Thursday is a physical day for us before we fly out on Friday,” he said.

“The only person out is Filimoni Seru because he has been suspended for three weeks but we got our players who can still do the job and like I said from the start this is a development year for the Drua.  It is a big bonus that we have reached the semifinals through hard work and determination and belief for themselves that they can be in the semifinals for the third year.”

“After we lost to the Vikings in Canberra we talked with the players and what we expect from them and every game from then on is the final for us and then we play the Melbourne Rising that was a strong tough game,” he added.

“The game last week was like the final for us and every game now is like the final for us and we will go out there and do our best on Sunday.

“There is a lot of learning for the boys and coming from the Skipper Cup Premiership. It is a different level altogether and they learn every day and it is not easy because it’s a different environment altogether.”

He said the boys would play with discipline, for their families and for the nation this Sunday.
