On A Comeback Trail : Joeli Lutumailagi On A Mission To Play In The 2019/20 World Sevens Series

Former national rugby 7s winger Joeli Lutumailagi is on a mission to play in the 2019/20 World Sevens Series which gets underway on December 5-7 in Dubai. Lutumailagi was among the 205 Police recruits that passed out at the Nasova Police Academy, Suva, on Friday.
Speaking to SUNsports, the 33-year-old Narata, Nadroga native said it’s too late for him to make the national 7s team to play in the Oceania tournament at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, from November 7-9.
“Right now I want to help Police defend the Ratu Sukuna Bowl against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces side,” he said.
“From there I hope to make the national 7s extended squad and try to work my way through to the main team and play in the upcoming series.”
