Two children died within a 24 hour period as a result of unfortunate which could have been avoided.

Two children died within a 24 hour period as a result of unfortunate incidents that could have been avoided.
The first accident occurred on Friday in Yalalevu, Ba whereby a one-year-old girl died after a vehicle driven by a relative reversed and ran over her.
The victim was rushed to the Ba Hospital but she was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.
The second incident occurred in Vuna, Taveuni yesterday afternoon.
The 12-year-old victim had allegedly tried to jump onto the back of the truck while the driver was reversing, when he slipped and was trapped under the vehicle.
He was rushed to the Taveuni Hospital but was pronounced dead.
Investigations into alleged negligence will also be looked into and both drivers will be questioned.
