Former Rep, Nawalu Advises 7s Team To Watch Discipline

Former national 7s rep Paulo Nawalu believes the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team needs to be consistent on discipline.
Nawalu is in the country with the Japanese 7s team as the technical advisor preparing for Oceania 7s Championship in Suva next week.
“For Fiji the only thing to watch out for discipline,” he said..
“I think coach Oceania 7s ChampionshipGareth Baber is doing great but the problem of the yellow and card will prove costly for any team.”
The Paula Dranisinukula-captained side will defend their title at the 2019-2020 World Sevens Series which begins in Dubai on December 5-7.
He has urged all stakeholders including team management, coaching panel, players and even the fans to work together.
“It is all of them. We cannot lay a finger on any particular unit.
“It’s the staff, players, fans, country, remarks and comments come into the whole preparation effort.”
Fijian born players Lote Tuqiri and Kameli Soejima Raravou will not part of the Japan team for the Oceania 7s due to commitments.
Nawalu, rated his all time best, was the 26-0 thrashing of New Zealand at the Hong Kong 7s in 1984.
