Former New Zealand All Blacks and Highlanders winger Waisake Naholo is ready to show his class after he joined his London Irish club.

After arriving in England on Saturday the Nadroumai, Nadroga native said he is excited to play alongside Fiji Airways Flying Fijians utility back Alivereti Veitokani and robust No.8 Albert Tuisue in their quest to win the Premiership Rugby competition.

Naholo during an interview said he wants to try something new and move out of his comfort zone.

“I want to try something a bit different from what I’m used to back in New Zealand. London Irish was the first club we looked at and quite enjoyed it.

“Just getting the most out of my time here. When I get named to play when I’m really enjoying it and really going to express myself.

“If I make the team against Leicester. That will be great hopefully to get out there and make supporter’s proud. It’s a must to wear the jersey with pride and play my usual game.”

Naholo has played 58 games for the Highlanders, after shifting from the Blues in 2015, and his dazzling form that year earned him a Super Rugby title and selection to the All Blacks squad.

He debuted for the All Blacks against Argentina in Christchurch in 2015 and played in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which they won. Naholo has scored 16 tries in 26 Tests for the All Blacks.
