The bail hearing date for Nausori Highlands murder accused Mohammed Raheesh Isoof will be made by the High Court in Lautoka next week.

Isoof appeared before Judge Justice Rangajeeva Wimalasena and was represented by Iqbal Khan.

The accused allegedly murdered carpenter Nirmal Kumar, his 54-year-old wife Usha Devi, their 34-year-old daughter Nileshni Kajal and her two daughters Sana aged 11 and Samara aged eight years old between August 25 and 26.

The court heard that the matter was to check on the state’s response to Mr Khan’s client’s affidavit for a new surety.

Justice Wimalasena said he would set a day to fix the bail hearing date for the accused.

The matter has been adjourned to November 19.

A production order was issued for the accused and he was further remanded in custody.
