Fiji Airways Flying Fijians loose foward, Johnny Dyer is looking forward to securing a rugby contract overseas.

He scored the final try in the 33-31 victory over the Barbarians at Twickenham, London on Sunday.

“I didn’t really expect to score that try. I just did not know how it happened. It was a team effort, a team try,” he said.

“I just carry on and do the normal thing. Be with the Drua and hope for an overseas contract. RWC 2023 is the main aim, it’s all the players aim.”

Dyer was a grand find by head coach Senirusi Seruvakula while at Vatukoula Rugby Union.

“I am so thankful to him for helping me in my career. Pretty much if we’re not selected for the Warriors we would not be here,” Dyer said.

He is the nephew of former national, Labasa and Rewa football rep Henry Dyer.
