France Visa Application Made Easier With Suva Office

The official opening of a France Visa Application Centre at the TT Services, Mid City Plaza in Suva yesterday will make it more convenient for Fijians, mainly rugby players who travel to France.
Previously visa applications submitted in Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu were processed by the visa section of the France Embassies in Port Vila in Vanuatu and Manila in the Philippines.
The French Ambassador to Fiji Jean-Francois Fitou said this opening of an office in the capital was an opportunity for Fijians to be able to travel to France and the Schengen area.
“The Schengen visa is for those who wish to travel to France and Europe,” he said.
This will also be the gateway for Fijian rugby players seeking greener pastures in France.
“It will now be easier for the Fiji rugby team and players to apply for a visa,” he said.
“This was all possible through TT Service officials who will process applications for a French visa,” Mr Fitou said.
“It is also a facility to provide visas to the French territories in the Pacific.
“Fijians can seek assistance from the French Embassy in Suva for any visa problems.
