Fijiana XV One Step Away From 2021 World Cup

The Sereima Leweniqila captained- Fiji Airways Fijiana XV will have to beat Samoa in the final of the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship next Saturday if they are to qualify to the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
This was after the Fijiana side broke away from a 7-7 draw at halftime to score a convincing 26-7 win over Samoa at Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday.
Fijiana XV head coach Ro Alifereti Doviverata was overwhelmed with the result.
He said they had beefed up all facets of the game especially playing against Samoa.
“We will play in the final against Samoa again and the goal is to beat them again,” he said.
“We worked on our ball carriers as in the first spell they came into the game a bit late. We told them to work on it in the second spell. We will go back to the video analysis before we play them (Samoa) again.”
Samoa registered the first points with their lone try came from Billy Jane-Ale and a successful conversion from Bella Milo to lead 7-0. The hosts regrouped and scored the first of their four tries to Lavenia Tinai with the conversion from Lavenia Cavuru.
In the second spell, Fijiana managed to score to winger Priscilla Siata, Luisa Gago and Ada Densey with two successful conversions from Cavuru.
Meanwhile, in the other match, New Zealand Black Ferns Development thumped Australia A 50-0.
