An anti-vaxxer has been arrested and denied bail for incitement against the Samoan Government’s vaccination order, the office of the Attorney General has confirmed, Stuff NZ reports.

This arrest was the first of its kinds for Samoa that happened on the first day of a Government-ordered two-day shutdown, to allow the the country to complete a mass vaccination campaign.

The AG received a complaint from a member of the public, which was referred to the police.

The men was then charged and arrested.

Anti-vaxxer is a person who opposes vaccinations and immunisations claiming that the practice is harmful.
