Alivereti Silimaibau, 25, a Lieutenant in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces from Malawai, Nadi, appeared before Magistrate Nilmini Fernandez, charged with one count for causing grievous harm and criminal intimidation.
A Police statement said Silimaibau’s wife had just returned from filing an application for a domestic violence Restraining Order (DVRO).

The accused has no previous convictions. Magistrate Fernandez granted Silimaibau bail with $1000 surety bail, issued an interim DVRO and warned him not to reoffend.
