South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) chief executive officer Krishika Narayan said preparations for the World Exchange Congress 2020 are well underway.

The world exchange congress has been marked as a significant event in the corporate calendar for the SPX for the year 2020 and is being hosted for the first time ever in our region.

The event will be held from June 1 to June 4, 2020 at the Sofitel Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.

“We have started working on it from the beginning of the year after our trip to lebanon,” Ms Narayan said.

“We have a steering committee who is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that there is a secretariat that is looking into all the logistical arrangements.

“We are in the process of getting event managers for the dynamics of organising the congress in terms of the requirements of the organising company which is one based out in the uk,” she said.

“There are also sponsorship opportunities as well, the Reserve Bank of Fiji has already been signed up as a gold sponsor, and we are already in advanced level talks with all other companies that are willing to come on board.”
