An early morning fire has destroyed the Vale ni Bose of the Fijian Trust Fund in Nasova.

Witnesses at the scene said the fire started at around 3.30am.

The North and South wings of the complex were not affected. It houses the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Lands and Ministry of Defence.

The National Fire Authority have yet to release a statement.

Police had cordoned off parts of Queen Elizabeth Drive – from the Bowling Club end to the Fiji Revenue Custom Services end.

TheVale ni Bose of the Fijian Trust Fund complex was opened by the late Turaga na Tui Vuda and former President Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu in September 2009.

The complex had cost around $2 million dollars to complete.
