World Sevens Player of the Year Jerry Tuwai believes they still need to work on improving their discipline during the 2019/20 HSBC World Sevens Series.

“We need two players shown the yellow card and we can’t let this happen,” Tuwai said after the 28-14 win over USA in their pool opener of the Cape Town 7s.

The veteran halfback said they have learnt a lot from what had happened in Dubai last weekend.

“We went back to the drawing board, talked about it and worked on it,” he said.

Tuwai urged the fans to keep their faith on the team.

“Thank you all for your support and prayers,” he added.

He set another record by playing in his 50th tournament in the series.

The Fijians took on hosts South Africa and Japan in their remaining pool games this morning and have successfully qualified to the cup quarter finals.
