The Nawaka and Nadi Town traffic signals will be in full operation by January 31, 2020.

That is the confirmation by the Fiji Roads Authority General Manager (Electrical) Musheer Khan.

“There are 13 traffic signals installed from Nasoso junction to Narewa/Denarau and five in the Nadi central business district (CBD),” Mr Khan said.

“There are three traffic signals that are operational in Nadi Town whilst works on the other two are continuing.”

He added the Nawaka intersection traffic signal works had been delayed.

“This is due to a vehicular accident that damaged our traffic signal controller and plinth during the construction phase.

“The accident damage reinstatement work in Nawaka has been completed and lane widening works are in progress.”

Meanwhile, the Nadi Back Road bridge is now opened. However, motorists are urged to be mindful of the height restriction of 2.4 meters and weight restriction of 15 tonne.
