Digital Portal Now Available For Legal Services

Fijians can now access free legal advice or apply for legal services here through the Legal Aid’s digital portal on get.legalaid.org.fj
The programme is designed to respond back in 72 hours, notifying the user on what else is needed.
In an announcement, Legal Aid Commission director Shahin Ali said: “One of our main goals as per our three-year strategic plan is to increase accessibility of our services and leveraging available technology is an important part of this exercise.
“Our online system will enable all Fijians who are online to apply directly for free legal aid services such as legal representation in family, civil and criminal matters, drafting of wills and obtaining legal advice.
“The delivery of legal aid services through the use of technology will change the way we conduct our business.”
The new system was designed by a strategic communication firm, Vatis.
The new system will see to a new beginning of a new era of access to justice, announcing the Commission’s entrance into digital transformation.
This portal is a cloud-based solution that can be accessed by all our branches at any time.
“This facilitates greater knowledge retention and transfer,” Mr Ali said.
The online portal is now live.
