A woman living in Vunivivi Settlement in Nausori is pleading with the Fiji National Provident Fund to release her funds to help her do proper renovations on her home.

Alanieta Delai, 50, made the plea while meeting Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama at Nausori Primary School.

The Prime Minister was visiting people in the Central Division affected by Tropical Cyclone Sarai.

“I applied for funds to be released back during Winston to renovate our home. Since then, there has been no response to our request,” she said.
Mr Bainimarama said that his team would request the FNPF for an update.

The Prime Minister also visited the home of Ms Delai.

They had dismantled their home because strong winds almost took the roof off their house.

They are currently taking shelter at Nausori Primary School.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Provincial Administrator Joseva Rokogai, health officials, and senior officials from the Office of the Prime Minister.
