Lawrence Nath attributes his success to his staff.

Mr Nath runs Espresso Coffee Central in the Suva Central Complex Food Court.

“I have a lovely staff here at Espresso Central who are very special to me because with them, I am growing,” he said yesterday.

Mr Nath employs nine people.

Espresso Coffee Central opens from 7am to 7pm.

He said it wasn’t easy to open up a coffee shop.

“There were many challenges along the way,” Mr Nath said.

His positive business mind is a contributing asset, he said.

“I had a positive business mind and decided to open at Suva Central,” Mr Nath said.

He said business may be slow at times, but it did not mean they weren’t growing.

“You just have to create that booming environment through promotional drives,” Mr Nath said.

Season of giving

Even though the festive season was over, it was still the season for giving, he said.

Mr Nath had carried out a sales promotion where customers were encouraged to fill out a voucher to participate in a competition where the prize was a Samsung S10+.

“The response from the public was very good,” he said.

Customers who entered the contest have become regulars.

“In the world now, gadgets are used everywhere and if you do not have a gadget, then you are nothing,” Mr Nath said.

Sulita Lata, of Labasa, won the prize of a Samsung S10+.
