The Tabadamu team, captained by Fijian 7s rep Teri Tamani, retained their title in the 2nd Basic Home Tabadamu Sevens at Prince Charles Park in Nadi last night.

The side came from behind to overpower a robust Raiwasa Resort Taveuni side 33-10. Tabadamu trailed 10-7 at half time.

The side walked away with $5000, while Taveuni collected $2000.

Coach Setefano Cakau said the message in the second half was clear.

“I just told them at the break when Taveuni scored we needed to get back on track and score. But they gave the chance back to Taveuni to come back at them. I told them not to give them the ball and possession,” he said.

“All teams go into the tournament with one mission and that is to win. But for us this tournament will help us build up for the Coral Coast 7s.”
