Labasa has opened its first amusement centre for children in the Charan Jeath Singh mall.

Fun Zone, which was opened during the school break, provides fun filled activities.

Located on the south of the third floor of the mall, the facility provides activities that could be enjoyed by all ages.

The new hub was the missing link to all the commercial activities operating within one complex.

Businessman Charan Jeath Singh said the centre was to provide some kind of fun activities for the children of Labasa.

“We have noticed that both young and old waiting for a movie in the cinema were enjoying themselves in the Fun Zone,” Mr Singh said.

“It does not prevent those that are in town who just want to come and enjoy the play centre and give their children a treat to do so.

“In the end, the centre basically provides an environment and atmosphere to the people of Labasa with different activities in one place.

“With that in place, I don’t think the people of Labasa are lacking behind in terms of the fun offered in Suva in previous years.

Mr Singh said $25o,000 was spent to import the machines from China.

Complex Manager, Jitendra Kumar said the amusement centre was an avenue for the parents who needed a safe place for their children where there were many activities that they could enjoy.

“Children will have somewhere to look forward to when coming in to the Babasiga Town of Labasa,” Mr. Kumar said.

The fun centre is open from 9am to 10pm seven days a week. Children’s rides costs a dollar, games are from $2 to $4.
