Approximately 473 passengers and 315 crew members arrived on board the Regent Seven Seas Navigator that berthed at the Port of Lautoka at 8am yesterday.

The Regent Seven Seas Cruises includes the Navigator and four other cruise liners, namely the Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner and the Seven Seas Explorer.

The vessel has 354 suites, of which 37 have ocean-view and around 85 per cent have private balconies and master suites.

According to the company profile, the cruise liners are owned by a Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Limited that controls 27 ships and is headquartered in Miami city in the United States of America.

Local agents Swire Shipping National Operations Manager Shyam Reddy said the different shipping agencies handled different vessels.

“She was in Suva last Friday and Saturday and then she came to Lautoka last night for this month but this vessel will leave at 1800 (6pm) this afternoon (yesterday).

“There might be five or six agency vessels due to arrive in Lautoka for this month alone,” he said.

The vessel is expected to be in Champagne Bay, Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu on January 14, Port Vila, Efate Island, Vanuatu on January 15, Isle of Pines, New Caledonia on January 16, Noumea, Grande Terre island, New Caledonia on January 17, Brisbane, Queensland Australia on January 20 and Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on January 23.
