Despite early reminders some parents and guardians left it until yesterday, the beginning of the new school year, to settle issues with their children’s e-Transport cards.
In Suva it led to a last-minute rush resulting in a long queue at Waisomo House.
The Ministry of Education had sent a final reminder last week.
The free bus fare scheme is part of Government’s initiative to ensure children of parents with low income are able to attend school.
