Multi-platinum international award-winning artist Keidran Jones, also known as “Iyaz”, will perform live in front of local fans at the Onyx Platinum lounge in Suva tonight.

Opening the show is Papua New Guinean Ride my lane song artiste, Dion Komberg, better known as Kali-D.

Last night, local fans had an opportunity to meet the duo at a meet and greet session at the Onyx Platinum lounge.

Iyaz is well known for his hit singles Replay, Solo and Pretty Girls.

Replay, which debuted in the United Kingdom, hit number one in January 2010, sold over 106,000 copies in its first week.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Iyaz said tonight’s concert was a chance for them to meet fans who had always requested his presence here.

“I have visited a number of Pacific Island countries including Cook Islands and I made sure that I would one day visit your beautiful country to perform in front of my fans here,” Iyaz said.

“I urge you all to grab your tickets and join us. I have always had Fijians commenting on my videos asking me to come to Fiji and here I am.

“I have done my part and I hope I will get to see my fans in numbers tomorrow to enjoy themselves,” he said.

Dubbed as the “King of Island Pop”, Kali-D said this tour was a chance for him to give back to Pacific Islanders and all they had contributed towards locally groomed music.

“It is a way of showing my appreciation towards our Island music and I hope everyone is going to come out in numbers and enjoy themselves,” he said.

Iyaz is currently on an Australia and South Pacific Island tour. He will also host shows in the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Darwin, Australia.

Pre-sold tickets for tonight’s concert are selling for $25. Door sales will be $35 per ticket.

Onyx Platinum lounge will open its doors to ticket holders from 6pm today.
