Serritslev To Coach Fiji?

The position of the Vodafone national football’s coach is likely to be taken up by 72 year-old Flemming Serritslev.
The Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said yesterday that they are not going to reveal the name of the person, who is going to replace Christophe Gamel.
However, the Fiji FA’s Facebook page had indicated that Serritslev was the new head coach.
Speaking to SUNsports, Yusuf said the new coach was to arrive in the country this weekend.
“He’s coming over to have a look around and see what we have in place before he decides,” he said.
“Nothing has been finalised about his appointment. We’re going to sit and go through the conditions of his appointment and also hear what he wants.
“Once we all agree then we are going to sign him up and make an official announcement.”
Yusuf said they are expecting to make an official statement on February 1.
Serritslev who hails from Denmark was one of the short-listed coaches.
He coached Papua New Guinea from 2015 to 2017 and led them to the 2016 OFC Nations Cup final where they lost on penalty kicks to New Zealand in the final.
