Sevens excitement has reached fever pitch in Hamilton, New Zealand among Fijian fans.

Hours before the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team arrived for training at this ground yesterday fans were already waiting to get a glimpse of their heroes.

Diehard Fijian fans around the world, those within New Zealand and from Fiji are arriving in Hamilton in their droves.

The interest is heightened by the new format that only pool winners will advance to the Cup semifinal with the quarterfinal being scrapped off.

So Saturday will be a big day. Fiji must top their tough pool to qualify for the Cup semis.

In the past some fans took it for granted that Fiji would be in the quarterfinals and they only turned up for the second day.

Now Fiji must win every game to top their pool.

That’s why Hamilton is buzzing!
