Man To Front Court For Alleged Lautoka Murder

One of the four men arrested last Thursday night by Police in relation to the alleged murder of the late Velovelo resident, Hasneel Sharma, has been charged for the offence.

Chief of Intelligence, Investigation and Prosecution at the Fiji Police Force, Assistant Commissioner Biu Matavou, confirmed yesterday that three of the four men have been released while one will be charged and appear in the Lautoka Magistrates Court today.

“After an interview with the Police, three of them have been released and one will be charged to appear in court (today),” said Assistant Commissioner Matavou.

The late 22-year-old, Mr Sharma, was found dead at the old Mobil Service Station at Topline in Lautoka by a van driver passing by the area two Sundays ago.

He then told the father, Babu Suresh Sharma, who was attending the morning service at Goodnews Church, across the road from the service station.
