Both our men’s and women’s 7s teams have been drawn in tough pools at the Australia 7s in Sydney starting this weekend.

After a poor performance at the weekend, the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s side will have to double their efforts and work hard at Bankwest Stadium.

Gareth Baber’s team is in Pool A with Hamilton 7s champion New Zealand, Kenya and Wales.

France, Argentina, Samoa and South Africa make up pool B while Australia, USA, Scotland and Japan are in pool C.

England, Canada, Ireland and Spain will battle it out in pool D.

Saiasi Fuli’s Fiji Airways Fijiana side are in Pool B with Hamilton 7s finalist Canada, USA and Ireland.

New Zealand, England, Russia, Brazil make up Pool A while France, Australia and Spain will be in Pool C with an invitational team.

The men’s team will have to dig deep against a strong New Zealand side as well as the unpredictable Kenyans.

The Fijiana side will try and create an upset at the competition, having finished 8th in Hamilton.
