The 1st Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (1FIR), Task Force Daimani, conducted its first parade for the year 2020 at the Camp Ziouani drill square in the Golan Heights on January 17.

Commanding   Officer Lieutenant-Colonel Penioni Naliva, while addressing the parade farewelled a 11-strong security personnel team from Task Force Daimani who were going to occupy UN Position 60 (UNP60) on the Bravo (Syria) side.

The deployment of our troops to UNP60 as stated by Lieutenant-Colonel Naliva marks as one of the major achievements for Task Force Daimani.

The last time Fijian troops occupied UNP60 was back in 2014.
