Ba will use the Vodafone Premier League to test combinations and build up for O-League in March.

The defending VPL champions play Rewa in the first round of the domestic competition on Sunday at 3pm.

Already laced with seasoned reps, the Men In Black have included Benjamin Totori, Samuela Drudru and Derell Kakasi in the side.

“Our focus is the O- League we will see how best we can prepare.  The VPL games could be a good preparations platform for us,” technical advisor Shalen Lal said.

“Combination is improving and that means more training and more togetherness, we  will be a much better  team in the next game.”

Lal added the team will now work on areas they need to improve on and at the same time applaud veteran striker Totori for his leadership.

“The Champion vs Champions Series was just to prepare the team to the O-League. We have our new coach in Ricky Herbert,” he said.

“We will go through the video of the two CvC games to see where we can improve on so we can prepare better for the next game.

“I believe Totori took command in terms of his leadership, created a lot of chances but we failed with our finishing.”
