The Ba football team suffered a big setback when their experienced defender Avinesh Waran Suwamy is now confirmed moving to Nadi.

The Nadi Football Association officially got Suwamy, Sakaraia Naisua and Rithik Prakash’s release yesterday.

When contacted Nadi FA team director and lawyer Muni Sami Chetty indicated that the players had been released by Ba Football.

”The trio have been released by Ba Football Association and are eligible to feature for the Green Machine against Lautoka in round two of the Vodafone Premier League,” he said.

”It took us some time for the release. We are grateful that it has happened.”

Also, he confirmed that the players had been training hard under the watchful eyes of Kamal Swamy and are looking forward to the Lautoka’s clash.

Prakash, a 19-year-old midfielder is expected to start on the bench.

“The three players have been training over the last two weeks and having them onboard should boost our preparation.

“We aim to gain maximum points in this outing, knowing that Lautoka will be tough on their own ground.”

The match kicks-off at 3pm.
