Man, 70, Remains Admitted In Lautoka Hospital

A 70-year-old man remains admitted in the Lautoka hospital after being hit by a vehicle along the Queens Road in Nadi last week.

Subramani was hit by a vehicle on February 13 near Tunalia Road at the Malolo junction in Nadi.

“I am just happy my father is alive and recovering at the hospital,” daughter Komal Mani said.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they were following up on the case.

In a separate case, a 28-year-old man, who survived a stabbing incident in Nadi late last year, has been discharged from the Lautoka hospital.

The Nadi businessman was admitted at the health facility after he was allegedly stabbed on December 17, 2019. He was found by a 45-year-old carpenter in a pool of blood with deep cuts on his head and hands.

Ms Naisoro said the man was now recovering from his injuries at his home. Edited by Ivamere Nataro
