Arden To Visit Fiji Next week

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is expected to arrive into the country on Monday for her four-day visit.
During a press conference yesterday, New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji Jonathan Curr said Ms Ardern would focus on climate change in the Pacific, improving the balance of trade and development co-operation.
“This is a great way to demonstrate ties between Fiji and New Zealand and will also strengthen Fiji-NZ partnership on climate change actions, economic, social, cultural and political prosperity and sustainable development commitments,” he said.
Ms Arden is expected to be welcomed by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces.
She will also pay a courtesy call to President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote.
She is also expected to deliver a speech at the University of the South Pacific, visit the RISE Informal settlement project in Tamavua-i-wai, meet the women Members of Parliament, Women in Business, civil society and youth leaders.
Ms Ardern is expected to be part of the official opening programme of the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre in the Western Division.
